IHP Community Needs & Priority Survey

HHCDA is gathering community feedback to help guide future housing planning, services, and community priorities for eligible Ho-Chunk Tribal members and residents.

Community requests are reviewed based on:

• NAHASDA/HUD eligibility

• Funding availability

• Community impact

• HHCDA housing priorities

Not all requests can be funded, but all feedback helps inform future planning efforts.

Funding decisions are based on program eligibility, available funding, housing priorities, and operational needs such as maintenance, management, and resident safety.

Some requests may be considered for future planning cycles or require additional HUD review.

• Housing Development: Building, purchasing, or rehabilitating affordable housing.

• Housing Services: Providing housing-related services, such as housing counseling and tenant services.

• Management Services: Administration and planning for housing activities, including staff and overhead costs.

• Crime Prevention and Safety: Activities designed to reduce crime and ensure the safety of residents in housing developments.

• Model Activities: Innovative housing and community development projects that may not fit into the other categories but are approved by HUD as beneficial for the community.

• Housing Management Services: Activities related to the management of affordable housing units, including maintenance and operation.

• Self-Sufficiency Programs: Programs to assist Tribal members and residents in achieving economic self-sufficiency, such as job training and education.
